Philip Hoare was afraid of the sea and did not want to go on whale watching boats. he had seen whales performing at sea parks and did not want to be part of it. but one day, he hopped on the boat. forty minutes later he saw a whale. that moment changed his life and started his life-long love and obsession with whales. in touch the moon, Hoare talks about his new book on William Blake and Blake’s revolutionary idea:
"
Everything — humans, animals, nature — is equally deserving. It was radical in the 18th century, and just as meaningful now.
Woven through Hoare’s stories about the sea and whales, you'll hear stories about David Bowe and The Doors
